Spelling is important because it aids in reading. It helps cement the connection that is shared between sounds and letters. DWPS, Ashta had organized an *Online Spelling Bee Competition* for the students of grade I to IX. The Selection Round for the same was held on 18 July 2020 and today was the Final Round, where children participated earnestly in the competition. Their efforts and initiative was appreciated by one and all. E-certificates would be awarded to the winners. Here is the result and glimpses of the Competition held. Today DWPS Ashta marked National Mango Day and celebrated it online with students. All students and teachers dressed up in yellow, enjoyed eating the delicious mangoes together. A few students also shared their videos, talking about the importance of mangoes. Stay safe Eat healthy

Delhi World Foundation organised a Webinar headed by Mrs. Louise Khurshid, the Chairperson herself. Through personal emails to two of our students Mradul Barjatya, Class 9 and Aarav Deshlehra, Class 8 and teacher Ms.Aarti Singh and to the Principal Mrs. Sangita Sood for joining the Webinar, she showed her concern and ensured connectivity. The Webinar was also joined by Dr. Punam Kashyap, Director, ERC and Ms. Deepa Raghavan, Associate Director, ERC and few other dignitaries.

The education system should evolve as per the need of hour, how aptly Gandhiji quoted almost a century before ! Thus, to meet the demand of the time and keep pace with the most challenging scenario in education, DWPS Ashta is all set to commensurate the Online classes along with In-School class after the summer break.
The home-stay time is being best utilised by our students in enhancing and exhibiting their talents through various modes. One such means was a cooking competition ‘I am Chef’, organised by the school in which kids of all classes participated and were very well supported by their parents.
‘You can cut all the flowers but you cannot keep Spring from coming’ No matter how many adversities come , our hope can never be killed. The students of different Delhi World Public Schools across the country showing their faith in ourselves and in the goodness of the universe which can allow us to see life in an optimistic way and to act confidently in every situation.
Two of the students of our school, are trying to express their love and respect for their mothers through their videos and painting on the occasion of Mother's Day .
We all are locked down but being healthy and boosting the immunity in order to overcome this Pandemic, is essential .Our students but even parents are requested to do regular physical exercises and eat healthy food.
When the whole nation is fighting against the greatest pandemic, our School students show their love for the Nation through their performances on the occasion of *International Dance Day*

As schools are closed nowadays and students have ample time to develop their latent talents. Some students of DWPS Ashta have shared their videos showing how they are utilizing their time. Here is *Kushagra Rankaushal* of Class 6th reciting a poem he wrote on COVID-19, through which he is requesting everyone to stay home and be safe.

To pay tribute to the Father of Nation : Mahatma Gandhi and Former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri and to be a part of the 'Fit India Movement,' an initiative undertaken by Government of India, Delhi World Public School, Ashta organized a Cleanliness drive in the city under the leadership of School Principal Mrs.Sangeeta Sood. All the teachers, drivers, conductors, bhaiya , didi and all other members of school enthusiastically participated in the rally.
